View Abstraction

Low Resolution Study

computer vision, smart-glass, custom software

View Abstraction is a study in low resolution representation. Using computer vision and custom software, the installation attempts to mimic intricate, natural motion with very few pixels.

Compared to the swaying motion of the tree it is observing, the resulting patterns are clunky and un-readable; an extreme example of the machine's inability to fully represent the complexity and subtlety of our world.
