At Ultra Low Res Studio, we design interactive and data-enabled experiences for the built environment. We believe technology should move away from screen-based gadgets and into our periphery; taking our attention with it. We are working towards a future of "calm technology", in which people are no longer occupied by their personal devices and are once again mindful of their surroundings. In this future, architects will have a new opportunity to engage their audience with seamlessly integrated, interactive and insightful elements.

We work with developers, architecture and lighting design firms institutions to design, develop and embed dynamic light, sound and motion installations. ULR Studio is run by Jakob Marsico and a rotating group of collaborators. Marsico received a Masters of Tangible Interaction Design from Carnegie Mellon University and holds an adjunct instructor position there as well.
